Forming in early 2008, when two friends met at a music school on Martha's Vineyard, With Walking Trees set out with a mission to reshape the often stereotypical post-hardcore scene. Combining electro/dance grooves with brutal breakdowns, and adding heart-rending screams to catchy melodies, With Walking Trees is an adrenaline rush of music that you don't want to miss. Lyrically, With Walking Trees also offers a fresh approach, dealing with social themes ranging from global warming and prejudice to the more personal issues of depression and suicide. Ultimately, however, behind the often dark themes in the band's music is a message of hope. This is what the band wishes to impart to their listeners: In the midst of all our struggles and downfalls, there is hope.
